Leslie Hope Coaching was started by Leslie Holthoff in 2021 as a result of her own experience with a career coach. Leslie is a Doctoral student studying perspectives of joint shared custody through the eyes of adults who have aged out of the two-home system. She holds a B.S. in Psychology from Old Dominion University and a Master of Public Administration from Walden University. She is also a CDC Certified Divorce Coach, CDC Transition and Recovery Coach, member of ICF, real estate investor & agent, author, wife, and mother of two adult sons.
In addition to her educational experience, Leslie also survived teen pregnancy in 1994, a divorce in 2005, and the death of her father in 2017. Each of these experiences brought change that she learned to embrace, including co-parenting both in and out of the 50/50 joint shared custody arena for 27 years. Her teen pregnancy and subsequent parenting took her through mediation, parenting classes, multiple court cases, child support, and all types of custody arrangements. Her divorce was a life-changing occurrence that took her from the life she thought she always wanted to a completely new life she had never even dared to dream of. Her experiences turning a life destined for failure into a life of abundance have inspired her to help others embrace hope & happiness ~ and make it through divorce better than you were.
No. typically I am hired by one person and work with them as their thinking partner. This could mean discussing communications and ways to improve, how to react appropriately when plans change, and learning new ways to create and improve relationships with children.
After a breakthrough session, I create a custom proposal that looks at where you are in the separation/divorce, if/how many children are involved and their ages, and any other factors that would determine need and then I will present different options. Coaching requires a minimum of a twelve-week commitment.
Coaching is designed to help you make choices that support the future you envision for yourself and your children. While this may include better communication with your ex, it may not. We cannot change the actions of others but we can control how we react and work to improve those relations. Coaching helps you to put your best foot forward to help minimize emotional and irrational decisions.
My ideal and most common clients are men, post-divorce, that are struggling to get anywhere communicating with their ex and have perhaps lost the connection with one or more of their kids through the divorce process. They wish to improve how they communicate with their ex-wives and work on building relationships with their kids.
Stay up to date with co-parenting tips, retreats, and more!
Each breakthrough session provides up to 120 minutes of time for a one-on-one private session with Coach Leslie. After the session, you will be provided with a custom proposal based on where you are in your divorce/coparenting journey.
